morning. this board is for motorhomes built on a real truck. Freightliner M2 106, Ford F-550 or F-600, a diesel under a hood you can stand in front of, and a cab over bunk. Seneca, Accolade, Magnitude, Isata 5, DX3, Europa, Verona, Ghost. if you have a gas E-450 Class C you are welcome to read, but most of the answers in here will assume air brakes or a 6.7 and that is going to get confusing for you fast.

three boards. Super C talk is the house: floorplans, slides, generators, bunks, heat, where you wintered. Chassis, diesel and towing is the truck under it: the Cummins, the Power Stroke, the Allison, brakes, tires, licenses, what you tow and how. Buying and auctions is the money: what you paid, who you paid, and what showed up wrong.

i am Bev. i drove a propane delivery truck around Kootenai County for nineteen years and my husband Ron and i have had an Isata 5 on the F-550 since 2019. that is the full extent of my qualifications, so when one of our chassis people answers your brake question, believe them over me.

rules, short version. coach, year, floorplan and chassis in your first post. say what you paid in a buying thread. no selling in threads. if you get a paycheck from a dealer or a lender or anybody else in the business, say so when it comes up. the about page has the longer version.

new accounts get set up by email for the time being, the spammers found us before the members did. bev.

drivesa 2015 Winnebago View 24G, moving up to a Super C this winter

signed up from Missoula. one ask for the rules: can people say whether they actually use the thing in winter or park it in October? i keep reading glowing reviews of "four season" packages from folks who it turns out live in Tucson.

we are moving up out of a View 24G and i want a coach that does not turn into a popsicle at Seeley Lake in january. i will start a thread on it tonight so i stop hijacking yours.

fair. added to the about page: tell people where you camp in winter if you are answering a cold weather question. nobody has to, but it helps the reader decide how much to trust you.

for what it is worth Ron and i are the "park it in November and go south in February" kind, so i am no help on Seeley Lake. there are a couple of folks signing up from Wisconsin and Oregon who might be.

forty some signups in a day and a half, which is about thirty more than i figured for the first month. somebody out there is sharing the link. thank you, whoever you are.
